What it means
Percentages express a value as a fraction of 100. They are useful for discounts, scores, taxes, growth rates and comparisons.
Formula
Percentage = (Part ÷ Whole) × 100
Example
If 45 out of 60 answers are correct: (45 ÷ 60) × 100 = 75%.
